We are thrilled to announce that Revival Girls’ High School has won the National Debate Council-Uganda Ankole Region Championship 2024!
On Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, we proudly hosted the Ankole Region Debate Championship, featuring 10 participating schools, including Mbarara High School, Mary Hill High School, Ntare School, Kashaka Girls School, Ibanda Alliance Secondary School, St. Bon-Consili Girls’, Ibanda Secondary School, Bigyera Secondary School, and Equatorial Memorial Secondary School.
Our talented students showcased exceptional debating skills throughout the tournament. Ankunda Sasha (S.3) emerged as the 3rd best speaker, Nyamwija Lucky (S.3) secured the 10th best speaker position, and Katushabe Jackline (S.3) contributed significantly to our success.
In the preliminary rounds, Revival Girls’ High School registered its first win against Kashaka Girls’, followed by victories against Mbarara SS and Bigyera SS, qualifying for the semi-finals. Our Girls of Virtue triumphed over Mbarara High School in the semi-finals and won against Ntare School in the finals, emerging as the Champions of the NDC-Uganda Ankole Region, 2024.
This heartwarming achievement, just five months after our school’s inception, is a testament to our students’ dedication and hard work. The entire school celebrated this remarkable victory with immense pride and joy.
